HEXTABLE Residents' Association cannot use the Scout headquarters in College Road for its open days, as Swanley Town Council owns the building's lease.
But the opposition to the association can have their open days in the Heritage Centre next door, also run by Swanley Town Council.
Whatever happened to democracy?
The people of Hextable helped build the headquarters and gave up their weekends for nearly a year on the project. They finished with the headquarters many a group would be proud of.
Unfortunately, after 21 years the lease passed from KCC to Swanley Town Council.
Is it any wonder the majority of people in Hextable want to split from Swanley when this is the way they behave?
