I HAVE just finished reading the report on the proposed extension of services on the east London line and as a result I have e-mailed the communications team.
I think I have identified an important aspect of these changes which has either not been addressed by Transport fo London or has been deliberately suppressed.
If I am right, then all the residents in the catchment areas of the stations concerned will lose direct services to London Bridge, to say nothing of the loss of the onward connections at the "country" end of the current services.
However, if these new services are in addition to the present service, then I say all praise to the Mayor of London (and I never ever thought I would write that) for at long last filling the hole in the London Underground system.
