IN ALL Marks & Spencer stores there have been multiple, extremely large, prominently displayed, emblazoned in very large letters "The Big Money Sale save up to 35 per cent" and in much smaller print are the words "on selected products".
My mind boggled at this offer but I quickly lost interest when I picked up the relative leaflets and found all related to "financial service products" such as pet, travel, home and car insurance each saving 10 per cent.
However, the jackpot was personal loans which was the only product to offer up to 35 per cent off.
I suspect a few people would meet the criteria necessary to qualify for this offer.
I am sad to see Marks & Spencer resorting to this deliberately misleading advertising in a desperate attempt to get people buying their financial service products.
It may be legally correct but it is most certainly not ethically right.
