I WANT to warn all motorists in Erith, Bexley Council has a parking scam going on in Crescent Road.
This is a narrow back street and drivers are allowed to park with two wheels on the path, with some well-worn white lines showing this.
But from the end of the yellow line round the corner there is about a one-and-a-half car's length, a strip of path, where you will receive a parking ticket.
There are no notices on the fence or posts stating where it is legal to park and where not and the white lines are almost worn away.
On the day I was given a ticket this line was covered in a thick layer of leaves.
I feel this is a sharp practice and I wonder how many motorists have been trapped on this length of path.
I know of one driver who was the day after to me.
I know ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
However, when you see a line of cars and vans all parked with two wheels on the path then one is inclined to think it is allowed.
I hope you think this warning is worth printing as it may save other people £40 fines.
