SUNNY SMILE: Regarding double daylight saving (Bring Me Sunshine, News Shopper, December 21). If you turn back to January 1969, you will see your editorials were against it. What has changed your mind? Or is it just another publicity stunt like the Bupa seven?

Editor's comment: This is not a stunt, just an honest attempt to improve people's lives.
LETTER WAS RIGHT: Not only was Jane Fraser (Happy To Finally Leave Crap-ford' For Good, News Shopper letters, December 14) 100 per cent correct, she did not mention the huge amount of street furniture on Rushey Green, the gauntlet of assorted pedlars one has to walk past and the fact the streets are strewn with litter and dog mess.

DAYLIGHT SUPPORT: I agree with your article about extra daylight (News Shopper, December 21). The days are so dark and at about 3.30pm it gets dark again. I don't know why they don't leave the clocks alone.
