So Bexley Council, and in particular Councillor Daniel Francis, is angry about Transport for London's (TfL) proposed reduction of the numbers in Bexley who would benefit from discounts when using the Thames Gateway Bridge.
Well I'm angry with Bexley Council, and in particular Cllr Francis, for even discussing "limits" or "mitigation" measures or indeed any other issue except the most important one which is this: the plan in its current form is unworkable and the bridge should not be built.
Our residential roads will be incapable of handling the additional traffic caused by the bridge. This is a substantiated fact.
Hence TfL's re-issue of its proposals; proposals which are based on fictional statements such as computer-generated transport numbers.
Incidentally, how are the disadvantaged going to be able to afford £30 a week to use the bridge?
So Bexley councillors, of whatever political group, start representing the interests of our borough. You have a duty of care to ensure we live in a safe, healthy environment.
If this bridge goes ahead never for one moment think we will forget who allowed it to happen.
The only way for this scheme to be successful is to build a dedicated link to the A2 and until such a link is included, the bridge should not be built.
