I WAS delighted to read in News Shopper an ice rink was being put up at the Crystal Palace for skating over the festive season.

What a brilliant idea to put it in such a superb location with fantastic views.

However, the car parking was almost impossible to find, with just one tiny sign.

The path up the terraces was badly lit and not in the least inviting and the rink was sandwiched between some bushes and the bus terminus.

The rink itself is very nice but the site chosen was totally uninviting.

I would love to know why, with the fabulous huge terraces of open space, it has to be hidden away from view?
