DURING my daily walks around The Priory Gardens, Bromley, I have noticed the declining state of our roads and pathways regarding litter.
I have written to the council and mentioned it to a political candidate when he was canvassing for votes at the general election all to no avail.
I was surprised last weekend to see nappies, takeaway packaging and broken bottles being swept away, but hang on, this was a Sunday morning. Then I twigged.
The area's civic dignitaries would be coming along to attend the Remembrance Day service at the church and naturally they should be able to walk our streets litter free.
I'm so glad our council tax money is being spent so wisely.
