AS THE organiser for the Bromley and Lewisham branch of the British National Party (BNP), I believe it is my responsibility to respond to the letter of Primo Marinetti (Mast Campaign Hijacked By BNP, News Shopper, November 16).
Mr Marinetti's main point seems to be the BNP should not have an opinion on such issues as the Mead Way mast campaign.
This assertion is wrong for two main reasons.
Firstly, the BNP is not a single issue pressure group but a political party with policies for all aspects of British society.
Secondly, Bromley and Lewisham BNP is made up of people who, surprise, surprise, live in the Bromley and Lewisham area, and so these issues effect us just as much as anyone else.
Mr Marinetti may not like us but he must accept as a legal political party we have a right to make our voice heard.
