REGARDING the so-called kerb crackdown being put forward by Bexley Council.

I don't understand the reasoning behind the council's scheme, other than to give them a further income at the residents' expense.

Are they not raising enough cash with the council tax?

I believe for many years it has always been an offence to park one's vehicle across somebody's driveway.

This only applies if the householder's vehicle is parked in the driveway at the same time, because the householder must have access to the road in case of an emergency.

Therefore there are already measures in place for this situation.

So why is there a need to impose another indirect tax on the residents of this borough?
