DAVID Evennett was one of a few MPs to support Mrs Thatcher when she was being dumped by the Conservative Party.
Mr Evennett supported policies which saw patients on trolleys left in hospital corridors, unemployment increase and negative equity soar.
Having been ditched by the local electorate in 1997, Mr Evennett, desperate to cling onto the lure of power, made a spectacular return to Parliament this year.
However, eight years away from parliamentary life appears to have done nothing to alter Mr Evennett's unique ability to support unpopular people and policies.
Having supported David Davis's bid to become leader of the Conservative Party and having seen him go from favourite to outsider, will Mr Evennett enlighten readers as to where his support now lies?
