With all the bad press regarding the National Health Service, I feel I must write and speak up and support the system, particularly the orthopaedic department.

I would like to mention Mr Walczak and Mr Fallaha at the Princess Royal University Hospital and Boddington Ward at Orpington Hospital. The care and attention I received was absolutely first class.

Appointments have been made to suit my commitments, the ward was spotless and the staff were both very friendly and helpful.

I have to go back for further surgery next week and apart from the discomfort, I am looking forward to seeing all the clean surroundings and friendly faces again.
