I am becoming increasingly concerned about the tone and language of your newspaper.
Your editor's rant against the BBC (News Shopper, May 25) is a good example. He uses words I consider inappropriate in a family-oriented publication.
Also disturbing is the vicious crudeness with which his opinions were expressed. I don't seek to defend the BBC, it must look after itself. However, content like this encourages exactly the kind of disrespect and yob culture News Shopper otherwise condemns.
I would like to encourage News Shopper to take a step back and reconsider this drift towards crudeness and disrespect. It's unhelpful.
