I am becoming increasingly concerned about the tone and language of your newspaper.

Your editor's rant against the BBC recently is a good example.

He uses words which I consider inappropriate in a family-oriented publication.

As disturbing is the vicious crudeness with which his opinions are expressed.

I don't seek to defend the BBC, they must look after themselves.

However, content like this encourages exactly the kind of disrespect and yob culture which you otherwise condemn.

Can I encourage you to take a step back and reconsider this drift towards crudeness and disrespect? It's unhelpful.
