After all the adverse publicity our police get, may I give an account of the positive side of the very efficient force we have in Bromley.
A few of weeks ago I had an appointment for a heart scan at Lewisham Hospital.
Unfortunately, a bad accident at Bromley Common prevented any traffic moving, including the bus I was on.
My wife told the officers at the scene of the situation and, within minutes, they had organised a lift past the hold-up getting us to the bus stop the other side of the accident.
Consequently, I was able to keep my appointment. My sincere thanks must go to those policemen, especially PC136.
The scan did show some abnormalities with my heart, so enabling my doctor to treat me.
