ON JULY 28, the Marriot Hotel in Bexleyheath allowed myself, my three-year-old twins, the blue one with Down's Syndrome, my 14-year-old son, a friend and her two-year-old little boy, to have a guided tour of the hotel and facilities.
We visited the dining room, lounge, foyer, swimming pool, gym, bar area, rode the lifts, walked along plush, carpeted corridors and looked into a made up bedroom.
The whole experience was instigated by Alice (three-year-old pink twin) as every time we drive past the hotel, she thinks that the Marriot is a "fairy castle," and a "princess palace." So one phone call later we were in my child's imagination, of a magical adventure, going into the princess's palace, with her "wow" and "it's beautiful".
Just a big thank-you to the staff of the Marriot who made a little girl's dream come true.
