AS TREES for Life celebrates 20 years of restoring the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands, I would like to thank all of your readers who have helped make our conservation work so successful. Thanks to the support we have received, we have planted more than 800,000 native trees to date.
Only one per cent of the original Caledonian Forest survives.
People can help us restore it through the purchase of dedicated trees and groves, including for special occasions, while our conservation volunteer weeks offer the opportunity to take part in practical forest restoration work.
