I JUST wanted to tell about a car journey I recently made in Sidcup.
There have been some high profile ads on TV about car users being more alert and looking out for motor cycles, and I think they are a good thing, but I encountered four motorcyclists who don't seem to care about other road users.
I was indicating to turn right out of a side road into a busy main road when a motorcyclist pulled right up next to the driver's window, completely blocking my view of the traffic to my right.
Then while stuck in traffic in Station Road because of the roadworks, a young lad on a moped decided he couldn't wait, went up on the pavement round the no access signs and down one of the blocked-off side roads.
As I proceeded slowly in the traffic to the old Sidcup music school, now Bird College, I was passed by a motorcycle courier riding quite fast up the pavement to get past.
Then another motorbike came weaving up through the traffic, went to go round a bus on the left-hand side and nearly went into the roadworks, although this didn't seem to bother him and he carried on weaving through the traffic!
