WRONG MOVE: Recently a letter bearing the logo of Gravesham Council was sent out from Edinburgh House to shops and businesses touting for support for its deeply unpopular tower redevelopment scheme. The letter states there is “a necessity for the planning authority to receive letters of support to counter the objections”. It is understandable that, in the face of so much opposition from local people, Edinburgh House should be trying to scrape together some backing. It is outrageous the council should lend its name to this partisan letter.

FAMILY TREE: I am researching my family tree but am having difficulty finding information on Marian Smith. She was born in Bromley in 1943. Her parents were George Smith and Nellie Andrews. I think her last known address was Old Bromley Road. Anyone who can help should call 01689 829159 or email jpankfolly@hotmail.co.uk
