AS A long-suffering resident of Grove Park, I agree with Roy Kennedy (Jam Solution Not Rocket Science, Letters, October 1).
The lights at the top of Chinbrook Road need to turn red earlier to prevent traffic passing through the lights at green and finding a jam around the corner.
This then blocks the junction for traffic travelling along Baring Road when the lights change.
This is not the only problem. The lights outside the station are red when the Baring Road lights are green so traffic wanting to pass straight through the junction towards Bromley is caught in a queue, limiting the flow of through traffic.
Buses turning right out of the bus terminal then jam the northbound traffic from Bromley along Baring Road towards Lee.
It will be interesting to see if the council plans to allow buses to exit the terminus ahead of traffic.
A pedestrian crossing at the top of Chinbrook Road would also be welcomed by residents who regularly take their life in their hands to cross it.
