IN THE interview with me on the subject of the Independent Management Review of the financial management and governance of Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust (Q&A with Interim Chief Executive, October 1), I wrongly said that Michael Taylor criticised the then chief executive and chairman of wrongly failing to share information about the trust’s finances with the public and staff.
I have since been told by Michael Taylor that I have misinterpreted that part in his report and Michael Taylor does not criticise either individual for failing to report or communicate the poor financial situation of the trust.
I would therefore like to take this opportunity to withdraw what I said on this issue and apologise unreservedly to the former chief executive and chairman in relation to that statement by me in the interview.
