Letter to the editor: We should not be at all surprised Greenwich Council’s planning board approved the hideous towers which will blight the Royal Arsenal (‘Disaster Zone’, News Shopper, May 1).
These are the goons who approved the rubbish which now blights the river front in front of the Old Royal Naval College, beside the Cutty Sark.
They have no concept of, nor do they care for, the beautiful architecture and history with which they are entrusted.
And, worst of all, they have no shame.
They are useless and a disgrace.
It’s worth asking UNESCO whether a World Heritage Site deserves better than those so-called public representatives.
