Letter to the editor: Your newspaper covered the flooding in Crayford town centre after a water main burst.
One pipe burst and there was absolute chaos.
Four feet of water in some places meant shops were shut and traffic had to be diverted onto the motorway.
Crayford Road has been shut for at least a week now. Inconvenient, to say the least.
But what really annoyed me personally is waking up and not being able to take a hot shower.
That morning, the tap would only run cold and before long, both the water and heating had packed it in.
The water’s been up and down since.
I can understand there being issues like this after a hurricane or earthquake, but a burst water pipe?
A little bit of flooding and everything comes to a stand-still?
Crayford is known for its water problems and Thames Water engineers need to sort themselves out.
