Letter to the editor: I am writing in response to the letter from 38 Degrees (No Transparency At Healthcare Meetings, News Shopper, March 27).

NHS Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group, run by GPs, was launched on April 1 and is now the commissioner of most healthcare services for Greenwich.

We are responsible for putting in place high-quality services from the NHS.

The website greenwichccg.nhs.uk includes details of all future public board meetings.

The first meeting of the governing body was held in public on April 3 and included a 30-minute question-and-answer session.

Comments and concerns were considered more formally within the meeting.

There are six governing body meetings a year, all held in public, and the next one will be June 6 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm in the Old Library, Charlton House, Charlton Lane.

We are committed to sharing information openly and if you would like to contact the group, visit the website or write to Kerry Cleaver, 31/37 Greenwich Park St, Greenwich, SE10 9LR.

DR HANY WAHBA, chairman, NHS Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group
