Letter to the editor: So the Conservatives have done a major reshuffle of the NHS.

I remember the last major shuffle when the Conservative health minister at the time carved up the NHS into separate health trusts and claimed it would increase its efficiency.

You can come to your own conclusion about that.

All I know is I regard this latest shuffle with apprehension.

The best thing which could have been down would have been to put the NHS back to as it was originally created when it was regarded as the best health service in the world with matrons in control.

Then leave it alone.
