Letter to the editor: I disagreed with the first set of redevelopment plans for the Heritage Quarter.

The buildings were too big and it blocked views of the St George’s Church, but the new plans are far better.

I’ve been to the public events to ask questions and seen the plans.

The changes are significant.

Gravesend is my home town, and I want to see it revived.

Many people no longer come to the town centre as they believe it has a poor offering.

Its reputation is failing. We need the Heritage Quarter to help reverse this.

One thing Gravesend does need is a better evening economy, more choices of places to eat, some quality entertainment services which aren’t nightclubs.

The plans I have seen for the town would do this and much more. And anyway, aren’t they just building on car parks?
