Letter to the editor: I wonder how much consideration Southeastern gave to families when it shut down for Easter.

For four whole days, from Good Friday through to bank holiday Monday, people had to take a rail replacement bus service to Greenwich to get a train into central London.

I can tolerate this for one day but for four whole days?

Southeastern said it was for essential engineering work to take place.

I accept this is necessary but to close part of the rail network for four days at a time when families would want to get out and about was beyond a joke.

People don’t want to be stuck at home, this is London after all.
