Victoria Beckham has sparked quite a reaction on social media following a clip from the new Beckham documentary in which she claimed she came from a “very working class” background.
The four-part series premiered on the streaming platform earlier this week.
David previously spoke about the timing of his latest project which takes a look back at the highs and lows of his career.
He told The Telegraph: “It just felt right, 10 years after retiring… The free-kick against Greece, the time the boot hit me… People know these stories, but they’ve never really heard my side.”

Victoria Beckham admits she was driven to school in a Rolls Royce
However, in the first episode, Victoria speaks to the cameras about her childhood and says “we’re very working class.”
David then appears at the door, popping his head around the corner with a mischievous look on his face.
He interrupted: “Be honest” he said, before the Spice Girl replied: “I am being honest.”
David then quizzed his wife, saying: “What car did your dad drive you to school in?”
“So my dad did…” began Victoria, as David cut her off and said: “No what car was it?”
“What car did you get your dad to drive you to school in?”
Victoria responded: “It depends,” as David repeated: “No, no, no, no, no.”
Victoria who is now a fashion designer finally admitted: “Okay, in the 80s my dad had a Rolls Royce.”
A satisfied David thanked the pop star and then disappeared.
Reacting on social media, one person posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Victoria Beckham thinks her dad driving her to school in a Rolls Royce means she comes from a working class background."
Another viewer chimed in: "Watching the clip of Victoria Beckham claiming to have grown up working class while her husband calls out her b******t is the best thing I have seen today. I live near her old house now and her driveway is bigger than the house I grew up in."
Who are Victoria Beckham's parents?
Following Posh Spice’s remarks in Beckham, let’s find out who her parents are and if she has a working-class background.
Victoria, now 49, was brought up in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire where her parents Jackie and Tony had a “successful” wholesale business of electronic items, reports The Metro.
She was also raised there with her two younger siblings Louise and Christian.
In 2017, Victoria revisited her family home which had since undergone a luxurious makeover, and brought along British Vogue for a look inside.
Victoria said that her dad “worked really hard to have the money for us to have a nice house.”
The publisher revealed: “Tony and Jackie Adams added annexes as their fortune grew (he was an entrepreneur who made a killing in the 1980s boom).”
At the time of the interview, Victoria’s family home had “a swimming pool, a pond full of koi carp, a tennis court, a playhouse, statues of cherubs, and a well-stocked bar.”
Beckham is now available to watch on Netflix.
