Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has issued a health update on the former One Direction singer saying he is out of hospital and "doing much better".

Payne, 30, was rushed to hospital due to kidney pain last week while holidaying with Cassidy in Lake Como, Italy, with sources saying he was in a "bad way". 

The former One Direction singer was rushed to A&E in an ambulance before being checked into a hospital ward for emergency treatment.

This came just weeks after the Strip That Down and Get Low singer was forced to cancel his South American tour due to a "serious kidney infection".

Cassidy took to TikTok yesterday to give fans a health update on Payne following his health scare saying "he's doing much better".

The 36-year-old influencer said: "So I've got a lot of comments about Liam, asking how he's doing and I just want to let everybody know he's doing so much better, he's out of the hospital and he's in good hands."

Fans commented on the TikTok post, relieved at the news Payne was out of hospital and on the mend. 

One person said: "Thank you so much for the Update about Liam (three heart emojis) promise me you will watch out for him that he takes care of him and rest."

Another person added: "I’m SO glad Liam’s better thank you SO SO SOOOO much for the update Kate."

While a third person commented: "Thank you so much for the update. We have all been so worried (heart emoji) please tell him he’s loved by so many, he’s in my thoughts."
