Start your Monday the right way as McDonald’s is offering 50% off this popular burger from its menu.

For today only (September 4), the fast-food chain will be slashing the price of the classic McChicken Sandwich to £1.39 (a saving of £2.80) after 11am.

The iconic burger filled with crispy coated chicken, lettuce and sandwich sauce, all in a soft, sesame-topped bun is ideal for lunch or dinner, with this price making it even more appetising.

As the summer holidays come to an end and the children return to school, this bargain is not one to be missed when it comes to cheering the family up.

Other items that will have a special discount include this breakfast treat – a single McMuffin, available for just £1.19.

How can I get McDonald’s discount on McChicken Sandwich and a single McMuffin?

These early September deals will only be exclusively available via the McDonald’s App which can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase one of these deals by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

The scheme means every penny spent equals one reward point, so this week’s offers will get you 119 points when grabbing a single McMuffin and 139 points when picking up a McChicken Sandwich.

How do the MyMcDonald’s Rewards on the app work?

There is a good selection of rewards available for customers to treat themselves to when point milestones are hit.

When customers reach 1,500 points, they can choose between menu items including small Fries, a Hash Brown, a regular Cold Soft Drink or a Side Salad.

With 2,500 points, a Double Cheeseburger, Vegetable Deluxe or Apple Pie is on the cards.

Meanwhile, with 4,000 points, customers can choose between menu favourites like six Chicken McNuggets, a Big Mac or Filet-O-Fish.

Finally, with the 5,500 points milestone, customers can choose from a Mighty McMuffin, a McSpicy, a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese or a McCrispy.

There is also an option for customers to donate the cash equivalent of their points to charities including FareShare, to support the company’s commitment to reducing food poverty and waste in the UK.

McDonald’s breakfast is available from 5am-11am, and McDonald’s lunchtime menu is available from 11am daily.
