A Sky News host has fronted her final broadcast today after quitting the station following seven years on air.
Kimberley Leonard sparked outcry on X, formerly Twitter, when she announced that she was leaving Sky after seven years.
In her post on Saturday, she confirmed she would be back over the following two days for her final Sky News shifts.
Kimberly said she was heading for a “new adventure”, sharing that her final air date would be Monday 28 August.
I'm leaving Sky News and heading off on a new adventure. More info on that to come - but please join me for #Breakfast tomorrow and mid-morning on Monday for my last shifts. And please do send pictures of where you're watching from. K x

Followers were sad to see her go, saying she was always well-prepared and professional - no matter what politicians tried to do. Journalist Dawn Neesom said: “Will miss you lovely @KimberleyeLeo always so much fun to work with you. Good luck in your new adventures x.” Kimberley replied: “Thank you dearest Dawn - and I shall miss you too x.”
I'm so overwhelmed right now. That was quite a shift! Thank you so much for watching and for all the messages. I nearly didn't get through the weather!

Philip Ingram said: “Oh no am I going to miss commentating with one of my favourite presenters?”
Some were very impressed with Kimberley’s style and jahodges added: “Always very well prepared. Thoroughly professional. Equipped to politely cope with difficult interviewees, two egs recently, Peter Reid, Brendan Clarke Smith. A familiar and, therefore, reassuring face for many years on Sky News. A Really very sad piece of news.”
Ahead of her final broadcast, Sky News political correspondent Amanda Akass responded: "Oh no Kimberley so sorry you’re leaving us! Best of luck with your next adventures xx"
