Always taking place on the first Monday of May, the Met Gala is the Costume Institute Benefit in aid of charity at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Hosted by Vogue and the Met Museum, this year saw stars fit the theme of legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld who was best known for his work as the creative director of Chanel and Fendi.
