An 18-year-old man from Kidbrooke has been charged with the murders of two sisters who were stabbed to death in a north-west London park last month.
Danyal Hussein is accused of killing Nicole Smallman, 27, and Bibaa Henry, 46, in Fryent Country Park in Wembley in the early hours of Saturday June 6.
Hussein, of Guy Barnett Grove, Blackheath, south-east London, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, charged with two counts of murder and a further count of possession of an offensive weapon.
The teenager was arrested at his Greenwich home in the early hours of Wednesday, July 1, and subsequently arrested.
Metropolitan Police North West BCU Commander Roy Smith said: "I would like to thank the local community for their support, both with the investigation and the police activity at and around the scene.
"I know that colleagues from across the Met have been working tirelessly on this investigation.
"My officers will remain on patrol in the local area, providing continued reassurance - please do stop and speak with them if you have any questions or concerns."
Nicole and Bilbaa were sisters who lived in Harrow and Brent respectively.
Officers were called to Fryent Park around 1pm on Sunday, June 7 to reports of two women found unresponsive, but paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene.
Police said they were in "good spirits" and "taking selfie pictures, listening to music and dancing with fairy lights" until at least 01:13.
Calls to them from family at 02:30 went unanswered, police said.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Tuesday, 9 June gave the cause of death for both women as stab wounds.
Extensive forensic work has finished at the park but smaller searches in outer areas continue, police said.
More than 1,000 exhibits including property belonging to Ms Smallman and Ms Henry have been recovered and hours of CCTV collected.
