A BROMLEY fan has praised his team’s players after their FA Trophy triumph.
The Ravens beat Wrexham at Wembley Stadium to avenge their heart-breaking 2018 final defeat at the hands of Brackley Town.
The game was won by a single goal from Michael Cheek, who hammered the ball into the top corner of the Wrexham goal at the hour mark.
Despite a Wrexham fight back, which included an offside goal late on in the game, Bromley and the club’s fans were left joyous at full-time, having won the trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
Following the result, Bromley FC fan Eddie Weisbrod believed that going into the match, his side were the underdogs and was worried about being on the wrong side of a thumping, but now hopes the club can push on and achieve more success in the future.
He told News Shopper: “That was a huge win for us today. The players really dug deep.
“Before the game I was worried we would get battered. The team really showed some heart and desire.
“Hopefully, this is the start of something big for this club”.
