SEVENTY-TWO years after the skies above Biggin Hill were filled with dog fighting planes, veterans enjoyed a much more peaceful day at the country’s most famous fighter station.
The veterans day at the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar allowed them to get up close with the Hurricanes and Spitfires flown during the Second World War.
As well as sharing their memories they also watched as pilot Clive Denney took one of the Spitfires up in the air for a short flight.
