A MUSEUM'S new illustrated talks programme includes the chance to learn about Crystal Palace's lost railway.

Crystal Palace Museum, Anerley Hill, has a catalogue of over a dozen different subjects to choose from, available to clubs, groups, and libraries.

The line-up includes The Curious Story of the Lost Railway of the Crystal Palace, explaining how a fully sized railway came to operate in a tunnel under the grounds of the Crystal Palace during 1864 and why it became lost and forgotten.

Barrie McKay of the museum said: "Our one hour talks provide an additional way of telling the history as well as the various strange but true incidents about the Crystal Palace to many in the community and also to those further afield."

Groups interested in having any of the museum's illustrated talks should contact the museum on 020 8676 0700 or email info@crystalpalacemuseum.org.uk
