THE murder trial of a Woolwich man accused of killing his wife days before Christmas began this morning.
Bentley Huggins, 42, of Ellistone House, stabbed Desirie Thomas in their matrimonial home in Woolwich on December 22 last year, the Old Bailey has heard.
Prosecutor Zoe Johnson told the court: “Officers arrived and were met with the grizzly sight of Desine Thomas lying face down in a pool of blood.
“There was a kitchen knife close to her body.”
Huggins denies murder.
The trial continues.
