BATTING, bowling and bonding was the order of the day when a Sainsbury’s Eltham team took on Tally Ho CC, the side put together specifically to raise funds for the Freddie Farmer Foundation.
The store just off Eltham High Street has made the foundation its chosen charity for the second year in succession and the match on the new pitch at Charlton Park on Sunday, August 26, was the ideal way for staff and charity volunteers to get to know each other even better.
One or two bruises suffered by rusty players on both sides added to the fun of the day with Tally Ho CC winning the 20-over clash by 20 runs.
