TWENTY firefighters tackled a blaze at a scrap metal yard in Erith.
The crews were called to the yard in Manor Road at 8:42pm on Saturday (September 1).
Four fire engines and firefighters from Erith, Bexley and Woolwich stations spent more than three hours at the scene, leaving at 12:22am on Sunday (September 2).
A large stack of scrap metal was destroyed by the blaze but the fire crews were able to contain the fire and stop it from spreading.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
