WORK has started at Bromley Football Club on a £657,000 scheme to provide state of the art training facilities.

Contractors are working at the site in Hayes Lane, Bromley, to build four all-weather artificial grass pitches: an 11 a-side pitch, a seven a-side pitch and two five a-side pitches with floodlights.

The facilities are set to be completed by Christmas, with the current pitches still available while the building work takes place.

Bromley Football Club’s owner Jerry Dolke said: “We are rightly proud of our hard work to raise the funds as a relatively small club and our investment for bigger and more modern facilities will benefit our club and many local users.”

Planning permission for the pitches was granted by the council three years ago.
