WOOLWICH could get two new nightspots if licences are approved next week.
Following recent boozer makeovers in Catford and Forest Hill Antic Pubs are continuing their expansion in south east London with plans for The Woolwich at Equitable House.
The Grade II listed building in General Gordon Square already features parts of the Maritime Greenwich College, a walk-in clinic, betting shops a Chinese restaurant and mini market.
Antic, which has a track record of turning around troublesome pubs, would run their business in a currently unoccupied part of the building.
A Greenwich Council licensing committee will decide on the application on September 6.
At the same committee meeting, a new African restaurant called Oasis, sited at the old Skillman and Son’s hardware store in Woolwich High Street, is set to be granted permission to sell booze and offer live music.
