Learn composting tips to nourish your garden and reduce your carbon footprint in Lewisham.
From egg shells to tea bags, one third of an average UK household bin can be used as great compost fodder.
Cabinet Member for Customer Services Councillor Susan Wise said: "More and more people are realising that composting is not only kind to the environment but it can save money too – both for residents and for the Council.
“Composting simply means putting less kitchen waste in your bin and more in your composter. You can turn all those discarded vegetable peelings, egg shells and tea bags into compost – and then, once it's rotted down, put it on your garden.”
