MAKE no bones about it, you had to be barking mad to miss a park's first ever dog show last week.
The Chinbrook Meadows show in Grove Park on August 26 featured scores of canines locking paws to bag prizes across a range of categories.
Along with the competition itself there were refreshments and the event raised around £1,500 for the Swanley based South East Dog Rescue organisation.
The hotly-contested best in show prize was snapped up by Titan and Hektor, a pair of grey Great Danes from Bromley's Prince Frederick pub.
Organiser David Higgs said: "We had about 130 dogs take part, in categories ranging from best costume to waggiest tail."
