MOTORISTS heading through the Dartford Tunnel into Essex face long delays on the M25 this afternoon (August 29).
A two-vehicle crash on the motorway 17-miles into Essex – which involved a car and a lorry – is currently blocking three lanes.
Emergency services were called to the M25 between junctions 28 (Brentwood) and 27 (M11) at around 12:20pm this afternoon.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free one casualty from a vehicle and Essex Air Ambulance attended the scene.
The Highways Agency describes this as a “serious incident” and warns of “long delays.”
Traffic is currently stationary as far back as junction 29 for the A127, although queues are expected to build as rush hour approaches.
