FIREFIGHTERS have spent the night dealing with two burning haystacks on a farm in Southfleet.
Five fire engines and a water unit were scrambled to farmland in Foxhounds Lane at 1:01am this morning (August 29).
They used two hydrant units and three main jets to bring the flames under control with the operation being scaled down at 3:20am, when two of the appliances left the scene.
By 5:45am, just one fire engine was left on the farm to monitor the fire and ensure it did not reignite.
Foxhounds Lane remains closed in both directions this morning at Park Road Corner and police are at the scene.
