A YOUNG film maker has been nominated by his MP to compete in a Parliamentary film contest.
Eighteen-year-old Charlie Morgan’s short feature No Money, No Mercy was shortlisted by Erith and
Thamesmead MP Teresa Pearce for the Film the House competition.
Film the House, for budding UK film makers, directors and script writers, aims to raise political awareness of the importance of intellectual property to the film industry.
The winning films will be screened at the House of Commons in October, while other prizes include tours of film studios, work experience and private screenings for friends and family.
Ms Pearce said: “It was very difficult deciding which film to put forward to the next stage of the competition as the standard of entries from Erith and Thamesmead was so high.
“I am very proud to have the opportunity to be a part of showcasing some of the great talent from within this area and I want to wish Charlie Morgan the best of luck in the next stage of the competition.”
