THERE was fun for all the family at a care home's annual summer fete.
More than 90 people attended the garden party at Shaftesbury Court Care Home, in Selkirk Drive, Erith.
Children were entertained with a puppet show while adults enjoyed browsing the stalls selling everything from bric-a-brac to homemade cakes and jams.
People also had the chance to win prizes in the raffle, tombola and spinning wheel as well as tasting the mouth-watering burgers, hot dogs, salads and cream teas.
The home’s manager Barbara Sweeting said: "The residents had a lovely time and they particularly enjoyed the puppet show.
"Two of them were bidding against each other in the auction for a bottle of brandy which was very comical.
“The atmosphere was great and there was a lot of fun and laughter – despite the thunder and lightning.”
