SIXTY firefighters tackled a factory blaze in Northfleet last night (August 23).
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 9.05pm to reports of fire and smoke at a factory in Crete Hall Road.
Ten fire engines, one height vehicle, one command support unit, one incident command unit and an urban search and rescue team attended the scene.
Crews using breathing apparatus, a main jet and wet riser searched the building to locate the source of the fire, which was in the roofspace.
Staff were evacuated and there were no reports of any injuries.
By 10.50pm the fire was on all levels of the building, including the roof, and sprinklers were activated
Firefighters had the blaze under control by 4am.
