Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is holding its first ever women-only Moonlit Walk with women powering through a 10km circular walk that starts and finishes at Bexleyheath Broadway Shopping Centre.
The Abbey Wood-based hospice charity provides free specialist end of life care for over 2,500 adults a year with life-limiting illnesses living in the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley.
Stephanie Fuller, community fundraising manager, said: “The event will be a celebration of the good work of the Hospice.
“We need as many ladies to enter into the spirit of the evening as possible and raise much-needed funds through sponsorship.”
Event sponsor Keith Payne from Ebdons Tours said: “We are very proud to sponsor this event.
“Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is our local charity and the good work achieved by this organisation is immeasurable and is a subject close to our hearts.
“Ebdons Tours are delighted to support the very first Moonlit Walk and we wish all the ladies immense success.”
The marshalled walk starts on Saturday, September 15, at 10pm at Bexleyheath Broadway Shopping Centre.
Registration costs just £10 in advance or £20 on the night which includes a special Moonlit Walk t-shirt and a medal awarded at the end to commemorate the evening. Refreshments will be available on route and at the end.
The minimum age to participate is 13 years of age and anyone aged 16 years and under will be required to walk with a Moonlit Walk registered adult.
