On 13th September 24 of Beckenham Rugby Cyclists will be cycling from Calais to Amsterdam on behalf of the O2e Charity.
The 200 mile journey will be completed in just 2 days.
Everyone taking part will have their own personal challenge to overcome and for many it will be the longest time spent in the saddle.
To add to the challenge some are cycling from Beckenham to Dover, adding a further 80-100 miles to the distance (exact distance dependent on navigational skills, a challenge in itself).
A little about the O2e charity. It is a not-for-profit organisation raising money to help terminally ill and disabled children to achieve their maximum potential and achieve the best quality of life. It was started by friends of Beckenham RFC, and is run by volunteers, resulting in every penny reaching those who need it.
Charities being supported this year are: Riverside School, Beckenham & St Paul's Cray (www.riversideschool.org.uk) Sparkleappeal (www.sparkleappeal.org.uk) Get Kids Going (www.getkidsgoing.com) Each (www.each.org.uk) Please help us to support these charities by donating whatever you can.
